Since 1979, Mattiace Properties, Inc. has concentrated on upscale shopping centers, retail strip shopping centers, malls, office buildings and industrial sites for major development activity. Mattiace acquired the Cress Realty Group, Inc. of Jackson, Mississippi, in the spring of 1997. This acquisition brought together a team of professional property managers, finance and accounting professionals, leasing and brokerage professionals of quality and expertise. In conjunction, the company was renamed The Mattiace Company.
In March 1998, the company acquired the operations of Continental Management Company which managed malls and other properties in Tennessee.
